Nine Awards for Andrew Bird: Fever Year

The AB:FYR team is over the moon these days, having received our 7th, 8th, and 9th awards this summer, all within a week of each other. We’re an honored and grateful bunch as we near the second anniversary of our sold out world premiere at the New York Film Festival, where the Film Society of Lincoln Center described the film as “a cunning hybrid of documentary and concert film.” Stay tuned for news of autumn screenings!

Chicago, California, Michigan, and You

Good times await! Join director Xan Aranda in Chicago this coming Saturday for a rare, FREE screening of Andrew Bird: Fever Year at University of Chicago. Details here

This year’s sweet, strong dose of California screenings continues during March as the film is presented at the Sebastopol Documentary Film Festival and San Diego’s Frequency Film Festival. Details here

We’re honored the Orange County Museum of Art will screen Andrew Bird: Fever Year as part of Cinema Orange, presented by the Newport Beach Film Festival. Details here

Fresh Slate of Big Screen Events for 2013

We’re excited about upcoming stops across the U.S. for Andrew Bird: Fever Year. The 80-minute concert documentary screens in Duluth on Tuesday, January 29 at Zinema2, where you can see the film in its award-winning 5.1 Dolby surround sound.

Catch Fever Year on the big screen in Santa Cruz, Winston-Salem, Spokane, Sebastopol, and San Diego during February and March. Additional worldwide screenings (including Los Angeles) are pending. Click here for details

Two New Clips Released Online
“Have I simply been ill this year? Or am I just turning into a different type of animal?” Mr. Bird mulls the origin of his fever in this clip from the film, released via Vimeo during December.  Over 33,000 have viewed this YouTube clip, featuring Annie Clark of St. Vincent – almost as many have viewed the official trailer. We Know, We Know…

It’s hard to believe that the multi award-winning Andrew Bird: Fever Year, described by the Film Society of Lincoln Center as “a cunning hybrid of documentary and concert film” will only be released in film festivals, but it’s true. Andrew has chosen not to release the film on DVD, VOD, or in theaters.

This feature-length treasure has shown at over 70 festivals worldwide and will continue during 2013. We hope you’ll trek to see it on a big screen near you! Click to send thoughts on FYR‘s limited release
